After a year of waiting, it’s here - on October 17th, the production and sale of cannabis edibles, extracts, concentrates and topicals will finally be legal in Canada.
And to make sure you’re up to date and in the know, we’ve got you covered. Here are all the details about legalization 2.0 and how we’ll be handling it.
What Products Will We Be Carrying?
The move will bring a whole host of new products for Canadian cannabis users to enjoy. From your standard edibles, to concentrate pens and infused tea bags, we’re on the ball, and ready to bring you all the goodies right from the heart of Edmonton.
When Can I Buy Them?
Unfortunately, while we will be stocking a full range of new products, you won’t be able to get them right away - most likely we’ll have edibles and concentrates ready to go in January, with everything else rolling in shortly after that.
What’s The Hold Up?
According to the new law, all licensed producers are required to submit a 60 day notification of their intent to sell with Health Canada. Which means that, while they may be legal as of October 17th, we’ll all have to wait just a little longer to get our hands on them.
Safe And Responsible Use
Being able to enjoy and get the most out of these awesome new products also means understanding how to use them responsibly.
First and foremost, you can rest assured that everything we carry will be fully legal and certified by Health Canada. That means that whatever you buy from our cannabis store will come in child-resistant packaging, with a clearly marked cannabis logo and THC/CBD content. It also means that none of the products will contain alcohol, nicotine or caffeine, and that everything will be capped at 10 mg of THC per package (as per Health Canada’s regulations).
It should go without saying, but we’ll say it anyway - be sure to store everything in a safe place that’s out of reach of any children (especially edibles).
Also keep in mind that edibles, extracts and concentrates are a different ball game than using flower. If you’re inexperienced, we highly recommend chatting with our staff. NUMO’s in-store team can help explain all the inns and outs and ensure that your experience is a safe and enjoyable one.

To kick off the beginning of legalization 2.0 and our one year anniversary, we’re going to be celebrating. On October 17th, NUMO will be having a party for all our staff and customers.
